Monday morning, as usual overslept, in a hurry, the biggest question now, what to wear????

and…..there you appear…. I grab you, pull over my legs and you perfectly fit on my waist, Oh my Jeans!!

Thanks to all those todays’ corporates approving ‘Jeans’ as a work wear!!

Genes of ‘Jeans’

Definitely, this is about the trend for next year, but before we go to 2020, let’s rewind a bit here….

let’s pedal reverse….

We, in general consider this ‘Denim’ alias “Jeans” a modern clothing, but it is a century old clothing and also what we mostly know is today’s Jeans as a casual wear, but it was an invented work wear by two men “Levi” and “Davis” (“Levi Strauss” and “Jacob W.Davis”) which is todays’ the world known brand Levi’s.

This fabric called Denim, which has more significance in clothing trends and travelled from the past century. It has its origin from one of the fashion capitals of the world France and went on to Italy for invention. Originally they were called “waist overalls” invented for people who do harsh labor and intensive tasks.

The Color

Of course like other materials Denim is also plain white and known as ‘jean’ or ‘jeane,’ was dyed in Indigo and it became the initial blueprint for Levi’s jeans, to get it as modern Jeans in shades of blue.

They are not only symbols of comfort but also have the potential to be somewhat professional in the right situation.

Statistics say that this giant of clothing industry is estimated to produce $129.8 billion of retail sales by 2021.

While we read on the history, let’s check out what styles of Denim are out for the future.

Upgrade 2020:

Make space to invite these upgraded new denim trends to your stylish wardrobe which can be considered to be worn in reality…

Embroided Denim

Madewell Confetti Floral Embroidered Crop Wide Leg Jeans

If you want to add a feminine spin on denim, the trend is embroidered denim. Check out this slightly relaxed, higher-rise, cropped, straight silhouette and updated with tiny rosebud floral embroidery, which makes to look more feminine than masculine and also very trendy to wear.

Asymmetry

IRENE LUFT – Pants With Asymmetric Pleat

Though this is NOT for everyone, but nothing wrong to get to know the trend either way and also feel free to skip. Asymmetrical hemlines are all over the runway, it’s really a surprise that it made its way to the denim market, as well.

Pastel

Pastels in Denim? That is something we normally never think in Denim. Next year this is one of the style that is going to rule and definitely you will not look like a school girl wearing these.

The “Jnco“ Jeans

This is a trend from 90s the 2020 version has a tailored waist and extra wide legs. A new straight cut in the waist and loose and wide leg at the bottom makes it casual and comfortable, which is very trendy….

Hem details

A tie at the ankle of the jean, adds a flirty, unexpected twist. Long or short inseam above the ankle works out very well and no hemming is needed.

Carpenter Jeans

This is quite a work wear inspiration, this has a cool look with multiple pockets and a loop for your keys. Looks so relaxed and stylish as well.

Patch work

Patch work is another trend where in you can patch different shades in a pant, the trend is out, here you go…

Feather trimmed

Another style for 2020 is from Prada – called ‘feather trimmed boyfriend jeans’ take a look and wear it on…

Denim Saree

We have already seen this, yet this is a page for Denim and to all my Indian friends, Denim is not only a western wear, now Denim sarees are out for our comfort, which is also a trend for next year.

Gone are those days while you think of buying a new pair, where denims are a struggle for most women, now you have a wide trend and variety – Skinny or  Anti-skinny, High raise or mid raise, plain or faded,  straight or wide cut and what not!

Fashion is usually a circle of recycled trend and it is our choice to fit the body which always matters!

Choose the one which fits for your style of cat walk on the streets..

  3. Denims, Jeans and all that blue…..
    Jeans look cool in blue,
    and any other hue.
They’ve transformed from the original work wear for labour, to utility, to fashion indeed. And works it way back to work wear. A fabric that weaves to any style (I didn’t know they do Sarees to in denim) and has an universal appeal – isn’t it the one thing uniting fashion across the Globe.
    Well written.
